I recently moved from my country of origin to US for a long term assignment, apart for the various other issues of getting setup here one issue was predominant i was not able to change the settings of my google play account to use the present country of residence. Which made me crippled as i was not able to download bank account apps etc and was not able to buy new ones as the currency was shown as my old country denomination. There are certain steps to follow in changing the settings.
So here's the process:
The content available in the Play Store varies by country, and it uses the billing address of your default payment instrument in Google Wallet to help determine which version of the Play Store you see.
If you're having issues viewing your intended country's Play Store,
1. Sign into Google Wallet to manage your payment methods at https://wallet.google.com/manage/paymentMethods
2. Add a new card or change your default payment instrument to one with a billing address located inside your desired country
3. Open the Play Store website and navigate to any item available for download at https://play.google.com/store/apps
4. Click to begin a download until you reach the 'Accept and buy' screen (no need to complete the purchase)
5. Wait 30 minutes
6. Close the Play Store and clear your browser cache
7. Re-open the Play Store. You should now see the Play Store that matches your default payment instrument's billing country.
